Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Indefinitely Delayed

Advance Wars 1+2 has been delayed indefinitely since its release given the context of the current global situation.

nintendo announced the postponement of the release of Advance Wars 1+2 on Twitter, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues. “In light of recent world events,” Nintendo of America’s announcement reads, “we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release for Nintendo Switch on April 8.” Nintendo didn’t specifically identify the Ukrainian conflict, but it’s pretty obvious with the context as well as the theme of the game. Being a family brand, of course, Nintendo wouldn’t want to sound deaf by releasing a game titled “Advance Wars” while the conflict continues.

This is actually the second time Advance Wars remakes have been delayed, as the game was originally scheduled to release in December 2021, before being pushed back to April this year. With this further delay, there’s no longer a firm date as to when we might expect to get this Nintendo classic. We could only hope that Nintendo would start to feel comfortable releasing the game as soon as the conflict was over – or at least until people didn’t say “too soon” when the game would be released after the end. of the conflict.
