The entrepreneur is currently engaged to producer Paul Bernon. Bethenny took to her Instagram story to dispel rumors her engagement was over on Wednesday.

She said: ‘I haven’t had to respond to rumors, but rumors hurt and affect other people just like the irresponsible press. I am engaged to a wonderful man named Paul.

Bethenny went on to say, “We got engaged in February and months later I was swimming and I had my ring on and then it turned out we were engaged because we hadn’t made an announcement. We didn’t feel like we wanted to announce our engagement.

The rumors started after Bethenny posted a photo to Instagram in which she was seen without her ring and wearing a sweater with letters that read “All My Jingle Ladies”.

In her videos, she explained, “We are engaged. I don’t always wear my ring. I don’t always have to wear my ring. Sometimes I don’t think it’s safe. Sometimes my fingers swell or contract. But I don’t care.

“In my opinion, a relationship is about both people in the relationship, the commitment and the feelings,” she added. “Not about advertisements, no pomp and circumstance, no jewelry. It is symbolism. And if I decide to wear an engagement ring, so be it.
