Five new stores are now open at The Outlets at Traverse Mountain, just in time for back-to-school shopping.

PUMA, Claire’s, Sunglass Hut, Janela Bay and Sweet Bath Company are now welcoming their first customers to The Outlets at Traverse Mountain, adding over 12,000 square feet of new retail to the Lehi Mall.

“We are excited to bring more top national brands to our region,” said Kristina Ainge, senior marketing manager for Outlets at Traverse Mountain, in a press release. “Puma is a highly anticipated store, especially by our sports residents, and we are excited to make space for small local businesses where they are also exposed to a global audience.”

Sweet Bath Company is a Lehi-based company started by two local mothers who offer creative bath, shower and body products. Another Utah-based company, Janela Bay, offers colorful and modest swimwear options for women and kids.

PUMA is a German company known for its sports and casual footwear and apparel. PUMA’s location at The Outlets in Traverse Mountain is the brand’s first and only physical store in Utah.

In addition to shopping, diners in northern Utah County will have new fast and casual Mexican options.

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill announced Wednesday that two new locations will be coming to Utah County this fall and winter.

The Utah-based restaurant chain is set to open a new location at 875 S. North County Blvd. at Pleasant Grove on November 4 and at 9920 North 4800 West in Cedar Hills on December 2.

“We are excited to open three more locations in our home state of Utah,” Cafe Rio CEO Steve Vaughan said in a press release. “With these openings, we will be able to provide more opportunities for Utahans to experience our fresh, award-winning, flavorful recipes in their own neighborhoods. We’re proud to be a growing company based in Utah, where we have some of our most dedicated and fantastic fans.

These new locations will celebrate their grand openings with giveaways and special offers. The first 100 customers at each restaurant will receive free merchandise and customers will have the chance to play Plinko at the Burrito Prize Tent for a chance to win free food or prizes. Chips and salsa or chips and queso will also be reduced to $1.99.
