Nike trail runners can get you off the treadmill and back outside

Tired of the treadmill? Now that winter is over, it’s time to hit the trails and run outside.

While the temperatures can be appealing, those spring showers and muddy conditions aren’t always so tempting.

But don’t let that stop you. A good waterproof trail shoe is all you need to stay comfortable no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.

The Nike Pegasus Trail 3 with Gore-Tex is designed with comfort in mind and provides a highly cushioned ride similar to the popular road version of this neutral shoe.

But you’ll also find an improved structure that’s needed for the trails without sacrificing the flexibility that so many runners enjoy.

The lugs on the outsole improve your traction and the Gore-Tex upper will keep water out.

It lacks a rock plate and some of the other protection found in more rugged shoes, but that’s the tradeoff for road feel.

Unless you’re tackling technical mountain trails, you should be fine. And when you can’t get to the trail, these shoes work great on the road, too.

You’ve waited long enough to run outside this year — don’t let a little rain keep you indoors any longer.
