Sneaker Fest at Corpus Christi Parish in Waterville to raise funds for local teens in need of shoes
WATERVILLE – A special initiative at Corpus Christi Parish (Church of Our Lady in Waterville and St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow) will not only help teens who need shoes, but will also give participants and donors 30 chances to win a price.
All parishioners and community members are invited to participate in the “Sneaker Fest” from September 1 and throughout the month. With a $ 5 donation, participants will be entered into a daily draw for a variety of prizes, including $ 50 gift cards for Maine businesses and restaurants, newspaper subscriptions, and even special opportunities like gifting. flowers at the mass of your choice for the intentions of your choice. Additional entrees can be purchased for $ 5 each.
While each day will bring a winner, participation will be its own reward as all proceeds go towards purchasing sneakers for local teens in need as school approaches.
Sneaker Fest is sponsored, in part, by the Knights of Columbus, Veilleux and Redington Funeral Home and Gallant Funeral Home. Gift card and package donations come from various businesses in Maine including Ice Cream Shoppe, Olympia Sports, Hannaford, Engine 5 Bakehouse, John’s Market, Flagship Cinema, Village Market, Belanger’s Drive In, Sunrise Bagel, and Sunset Greenhouse.
