The best places to boulder or indoor climb in Sheffield – including The Climbing Hangar and Foundry Climbing

Rock climbing was once considered the pastime of adrenaline junkies, but that has now changed and it has become more mainstream with the advent of indoor climbing walls.

Climbing as a sport has many benefits, which can be divided into three main areas, physical, mental and social. It is one of the best full body workouts available for both men and women.

Climbing involves many factors including strength, balance in movement and technique, and when combined a climbing route can look like a puzzle which with practice can develop skill planning and problem solving for climbers.
