White Mountaineering x UNIQLO Fall / Winter 2021 Collection
As summer draws to a close, Fall / Winter 2021 will welcome the latest LifeWear collaboration with the first White Mountaineering x UNIQLO collection.
Founded in 2006, White Mountaineering set a precedent for high performance, technically designed and functional clothing with a marked haute couture aesthetic. Since its inception, designer Yosuke Aizawa has kept the brand at the forefront of functional clothing through its collaborative efforts on clothing and footwear.
Aizawa has also doubled the fashion trend of his brand with seasonal shows in Paris or Tokyo.
Over the past 15 years, we’ve seen collaborations between White Mountaineering and some of the industry’s biggest competitors, strengthening its position on the international radar with collections alongside Saucony, adidas, Danner and Eastpak.
Next in line – UNIQLO.
UNIQLO’s global presence is no surprise, the brand has made its daily LifeWear accessible to as many people as possible without sacrificing quality and style. Thanks to the UNIQLO + rate from its Swedish design team, the UNIQLO U line by Christophe Lemaire and the + J collections by Jil Sander, the brand has raised its basic offer to approach a high-end standard.
Not only do these collections offer alternative perspectives on what constitutes an everyday garment, but they also allow consumers to access lower prices to high-end designers.
With White Mountaineering x UNIQLO, everyday functional clothing with performance elements is more accessible for the whole family. This family inspiration applies to two flagship products: down and fleece.
The Hybrid Down Parka is available for men, women and children in alternative fits, each oversized and featuring White Mountaineering’s signature double zipper. Fleece and militarist quilted layers appear in all categories, while men also get an additional puffer jacket.
Comprised of nine pieces, the White Mountaineering x UNIQLO Fall / Winter 2021 range will be available through UNIQLO from October 28.
